No one is normalising rape, not all rape in stories is unnecessary in some it can be a useful plot device(like this current fic as here the rape was done by a villain the act was to characterise the villain as an abhorrent character who we should not sympathise with.).
If you are gonna reply again atleast read the story and get some critical thinking skills not just react like everything is some shocking revelation like nothing bad can happen or everyone who reads it is a piece of shit person. Smh
