I really hope that when he eventually gets all his past memories back, he reverts back to this mental state, even slightly. When I reread, part of me wants to praise him for his nonchalance bc it’s so rare in ukes lol. But most of me is just sad bc I know it’s not real. If you forget all of your most defining memories, and lose the capacity to feel emotion, are you really you?
