i think desire scans does MTLs, they were uploading on another series and people were calling them out

It’s actually really obvious
1. The art they’re using for their promo page is AI
2. The amount of chapters they’re releasing across all these series (humans can’t work that fast)
3. The translation quality is not good, ofc mtl is getting better over time, but they’re still quite lacking and some sentences while readable don’t really make sense in context. Also the constant flip flopping of pronouns (even an edited mtl fixes that shit if they don’t fix the pronouns imagine how lazy they are)
4. Separate page with paywall (fan tls don’t lock things behind paywall bc it’s illegal and rude as hell)
Ex of rampant ai “scanlators”: kaizen, myth toons, spring toons, desire scans, artlapsa, even asura uses mtl heavily.
If that's the case then I think I'm going to hold out for for Seph to come back. I was wondering why the translation was wonky.(⊙…⊙ )

It's so sad to see all these "translation" groups using ai and passing it off as their own stuff when the translations don't even make sense. As an aspiring literary translator myself, it makes me mad. Thx for the explanation!
