A little confused by this statement. Bellamy died in Dressrosa and Izo died in Wano. I get what you're saying though in essence. Honestly I feel like death flags are actually popping up for the last of the active old guard a bit. Like we got a twin?? Nah that CANT be good.
Robin and Saul reunion is just frustrating and just a reminder that the Straw Hats never face any real, lasting consequences.
Robin’s entire backstory is defined by losing everyone she ever loved, with Saul’s promise being the core of her arc. He told her that one day she would find friends who would protect and stand by her. Saul’s narrative purpose was already fulfilled back then; his story should have ended right there on Ohara. Instead, we got this forced, manufactured tear-jerker of a reunion scene. This moment would have carried far more emotional weight if it never happened at all, bringing him back undermines the gravity of her trauma and the promise he left her with.
Let’s be clear: the last time the Straw Hats faced any meaningful, real consequences was during the Marineford Saga, right after the events at Sabaody. That was the last time there were actual, high stakes, when Luffy suffered the devastating, permanent loss of Ace, and the crew truly had to bear the heavy cost of their actions.
