Looking for isekai, historic, revenge, romance, type of manga/webtoon where the male lead isn't an enemy of the female lead at all. Really sick of ML who are outright dislikeable, awful towards the FL and yet we are supposed to forgive them because he has a sad backstory or regrets his actions etc.
I love when FLs are strong, clever, and scheming, and on equal footing to the ML instead of his slave or something. I love a ML who's a simp instead of a possessive sadist. I like when the ML although being powerful, is able to step back and let the FL run the show instead of thinking she's incapable and weak and he must do everything for her.
It's fine if it's a slow burn romance or the ML is cheeky, just don't like it when he betrays and breaks her trust completely and we're supposed to be fine with it because he's hot.
I didn't enjoy "My Beloved Oppressor" and "It Was Just A Contractual Marriage" for these reasons.
I liked "The Remarried Empress" but I felt as though the FL being pregnant dragged on for wayyy too long.
I also liked "Kill The Villainess", "The Villainess Reverses The Hourglass", "Who Made Me A Princess" and I'm enjoying "Death Is The Only Ending For The Villainess" right now.
