They know for a fact that you delusional shippers will hype up anything, any tiny glance, any casual line, any normal friendly moment like it’s the best representation ever made. So instead of actually putting in the work to make honest queer stories, or ditching that stupid, backward mindset of “ew, actual gay content might turn off the mainstream audience”, they just take the easy way out: they only make queerbaited “bromances” and platonic friendships. They keep everyone comfortable, never commit to anything real, and y’all still eat it all up, spend your money, and fight anyone who calls it out.
