In all fairness to Nathan, he doesn’t know the truth. He has every right to feel the way he does.
Please remember that Nathan got his heart stomped on he doesn’t know the full story he only knows that the guy he thought had mutual feelings for him just ended things in the meanest way possible when he simply asked for honesty. I get that you’re feeling maternal towards the mc but let’s not forget that he said some hurtful things and also did not communicate what happened. Nathan has EVERY right to be mean and feel how he does.
Idk why but I don’t like Nathan for some reason he genuinely didn’t do nothing and if Mc was lil smarter with his choices this wouldn’t have happened but damn I feel too maternal towards MC like when he’s heartbroken I’m heartbroken so yea that’s y I harbor animosity towards ML I feel like those girls that hate on female characters for no reason lol
