Yeah, but for it to be incest, they need to be blood related, not only a family in documents

This is considered incest legally and socially (google is free). Is it considered incest biologically? Um no and it wouldn't matter if they were related biologically either, cause none of them can give birth lol, it wouldn't result in an inbred to reply both you and the person below you. But whichever floats your boat. You're free to enjoy your incest without justifying it that it's not yk ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

what about orphans who are raised together in an orphanage and fall in love with eachother? is that considered to be incest too? genuine question.

True, but there IS a term for non-related siblings engaging in sexual acts which is called "Pseudo-incest"! ՞߹ - ߹՞

    Definition:

Pseudo-Incest is a term used to describe sexual relationships between individuals who are not related by blood, but still share familial ties or are considered family members. This can include step-siblings, step-parents, and other individuals who are related through marriage or adoption.

What if there was a couple, and for one of them, their parents disowned them/their family died and no relatives took them in, and was adopted by the other person's family.
Would that still be socially condemnable as pseudo incest?

    Hmm, good question!

The term usually comes from people who were "raised as siblings" and developed a sibling-like family bond before becoming romantically involved.

If the 2 were already dating, then the adoption didn't create that sibling relationship in their minds, it simply changed the legal family structure around them. ˃◡˂

So in short, it isn't pseudo-incest if they have been dating beforehand!!

Pseudo-incest = Sexual relationships between individuals who are not related by blood, but still share familial ties or are considered family.

    Not pseudo-incest =

    1. The opposite ofc! Like a normal couple!

    2. If the couple were already a thing before being legally adopted by the other family via papers & documents, and were NOT raised to be siblings, rather to maybe give care and support to the partner who have lost their parents or have been removed by their family's papers, documents, or such!

Hope this helped! (SLR, I was locking in reading bl's.. )

Ohh, I got intrigued and want to answer this too! For this one, it actually depends one the person reading or viewing their relationship!

As long as they were not raised to be "like siblings" then it's all good. ᜊ•ᴗ•ᜊ

But as long as they don't view each other in a sibling relationship rather more than a couple relationship or plan to view each other as both (like seeing each other as actual siblings, yet participate in sexual/romantic acts towards each other, being fully aware of their feelings), then all is good! ❣

Unfortunately, some people will still see such relationship as uncomfortable and weird, well, it's just basically how you really interpret the couple's relationship! ૮ ˶ˆ ﻌ ˆ˶ ა

I don't think so or at least not to me but this also depends on the readers like another person said
