I mean, I would guess it's just secured in on either end behind the back of his ear like regular piercings. It's just shaped like a drawer handle. >.< I'm not saying it looks good, but I think it's a legitimate type of piercing.

it actually just hugs the outer conch of the ear, it doesn't require a piercing to keep it on.

About halfway through he has a talk with him in the locker room. It's visible in any panel where it shows his *right* ear. It's like a barbell, smack dab in the middle of his ear -- not the earcuff on his left.
ohhh I see! so weird -- it's like he got a flat and an auricle and then connected them with a bar?? also it's missing in ch 30 so maybe the author got sick of drawing it lol
