I'm so gonna kms, I never even thought about that
Like the story was just so cute and happy and fluffy I completely forgot one of them is a god
Like, a lot of people are talking about making him immortal, but I still don't think that would be a good idea, nor a possible one, since like how Geumryang said, he wasn't capable of completely saving Taesun' s grandpa, and even though he was capable of prolonging his life and making him feel better during that time, it still aftected his own wellbeing and powers. Not only that, but Geumryang himself isn't immortal, Taesun saved him when they first met in the mountain while he was a snake, and he can definitely be killed one way or another, he just lives life and experiences time on a different way, and it doesn't end there, I think Taesun would miss his grandpa even more than he does now if his life were to be prolonged. He made peace with the idea of his grandpa no longer being there with him thanks to the fact that he got to say goodbye, have a clear and peaceful farewell; that and the fact that he's got a new life with someone to spend it with, and with all the memories he has cherished with his grandpa, they're enough to hold his grief as proof of all the love he carries with somewhere else to put it, that being Geumryang and his children, and even after parting ways, Taesun's grandpa told Geumryang in his dream "it's time for me to meet my son", which is something that inevitably will happen to Taesun too, but getting to meet again with both his parents and grandpa.
Plus, the idea of becoming immortal while all the loved ones and known ones die, is just, ugh, not the best idea either
Death is such a hard thing everyone has to face eventually, and ig even semi-gods get to grief once they've fallen in love

Also I mean, the topic of death has been therr pretty much since the begging of the story, so ofc they're gonna talk about it again at the end and in the sides, so that's pretty neat
