The whole suffering would've been avoided if they communicated or a certain someone just hear him out. I ain't complaining tho I'm here for the angst lol so I received what I ordered and I like it. For the ppl complaining about Alex, he's not even that bad, y'all just don't have enough empathy to put yourselves in his shoes. I think the dialogues/translation also plays the part in making it difficult for some to feel what the main character felt cuz in the novel it was more detailed and it described how much pain he felt for being lonely and abandoned.
