I think a lot of people are missing the point that the conflict is based on the duality of the situation. They know she did a good deed and they feel for you but she is also a consenting part of the engagement and she needs to learn to grow up and be able to balance her role as well as her independence. Thats why they keep introducing the conflicting view points not because they want to changer her but she does need to learn how to embrace herself and her role. The whole plot is about her learning to grow beyond how she was raised like how she wanted. I think its clear they dont wanna change her nature just for her to know how to balance it. This is what we call Characterrrr developmentttttt
