why is it disliked when your debt is paid?

is it that big of a deal if someone pays your debt? shouldnt you be grateful instead that you dont have to work your fingers and ass off to pay it off? so fucking stubborn, get over your pride. you have a debt for crying out loud, your pride was already destroyed
