I’d say there is rape but it’s not exactly the ML who did it? He was kinda possessed with demon & that demon that did the rape, the actual ML regretted the actions he did to the MC. But you can skip the smut in the earlier chapters, but I can say it’s a pretty nice read!
There is rape. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it was a demon possessing ML that raped MC. ML himself raped MC multiples times but he was basically "ill" and was not right in the head. It's similar to how alphas are overwhelmed by desires and lose rationality during rut then forget most of it afterwards but still aware and regret their actions. ML eventually stopped being "ill" and when not "ill", he is a green flag.

You should read it is a good read. Ml is not a red flag, esp to the mc. But the lore where he was cursed makes me a very violent volatile and powered by desire and instic kind of person at night. Its like jekyll and hide. There is rape in the fist time but again, its due to the curse.
Green flag is a serious stretch, he rapes the mc even after losing the night version.

The series definitely has mood/morality swings so it's hard to give a clear flag.
At the start he was ashamed of what he was doing, then when the mc started reciprocating he just removed all inhibition. But because they have sweet moments too you get confused which represents him, when it's both. So yellow flag probably fits okay.
Personally I see him as a red flag because of the rape/assault and how the mc had to hide and fear for those around him. I feel like people are way too forgiving of him just because he has a few softer moments. But I'd be terrified to be around someone so obsessive, controlling and forceful. And the mc is constantly stressed, crying and afraid as well. Somehow I don't see the arguments they have as "banter" because the power imbalance is so server and the mc always gets the short end of the stick.

Its really good tho. Its not perfect but it is a great read. The leads are so dramatic and very shakespearean in their love. You cant help but cheer on them
