yeah, mainly by ml. their first few times mc seems to be into it, but things go south and mc tries to run away, and ml rapes him a lot after that. it's explicitly stated in the novel that it's rape.

about that... i guess almost dying while protecting mc and taking him back from a kidnapping is the author trying to redeem his character. but again he is evil to his core and lowk insane so... he just kind of stopped forcing himself on mc, and then let mc go for some time while he (ml) went to fight in a war. i guess the test was that if he could even let mc go because he is sooo obsessed and possessive.

mc says at the end of the novel that he's still afraid of ml but he loves him so.

Omg I agree that it's worth reading. It sounds bad but their relationship makes sense with this kind of plot, its like a lovers to enemies to lovers, hard to explain without spoiling too much. But one can tell that they are really made for eo despite everything.

As far as im concerned any relationship that starts off with violent rape and abuse is not one deserving of a happy ending, its genuinely disgusting when authors make rape victims fall in love with their rapists and treat it like a good thing.

when it comes to real human relationships, like yeah obviously, but this is fiction. and their first time wasn't rape, just kind of dubcon? since mc didn't fully know how sex goes. but he says he liked it and wanted to do it again with ml in the novel so. basically he had his sex exploration arc with ml because he lived in solitude before that.

The thing about fiction is that it inevitably influences real life, especially to younger people. So even if its fictional, if its portrayed as a crime thats not THAT bad and something that can just be forgiven, it will inevitably have a negative effect on some people.

Younger people shouldnt be reading this stuff or even being on illegal sites that's for sure, but that's not something that any of us can control

Young adults should have already developed enough to know what's wrong or right. if people say they do stuff that they see in manhwas, that's an excuse. They were already rotten and they would have done it with or without reading manhwas.

lowkey i'm so tired of seeing the "fiction affects life/people" discourse but yeah, i agree with this. fiction can't change people's morals, unless they have none to begin with.

i think arguing with them is useless. they don't like something so it should be censored lol

I dont think it should be censored, im just voicing my belief that it is bad and gross to have your story redeem a rapist and make them date the person they raped.
