I genuinely read the main story expecting “slop” as many called it and it was just neutral, I mean it didn’t really stir up anything in me as I’ve read so much worse and people will enjoy/hate what they will; I read that main story with the straightest face ever and a bit of disappointment in the fact that the DIRECTOR was the one Hojoong ended up with since I was totally expecting Ricky due to his fascination with Hojoong from just one match in the ring…
THEN BAM! THAT WAS THE SIDE STORY. AND BY THE LORD, THAT WAS FANTASTIC. I REALLY DID NOT EXPECT THAT SIDE STORY TO BE SO DAMN GOOD?!?!? PUSHED UP MY LIST, PAST HALF OF MY FAVORITE BLS. THAT WAS GENUINELY *THE* BEST SIDE STORY EVER. The author truly put their ALL and I just have to express my strong emotions of joy for RickJoong beyond just putting it in my list They’re a match made in hell and it’s so awesome that we got to explore beyond a “raping game” to this complex fucked-up relationship that included impressive, realistic development.
I wonder what the next side-story is… I’m excited and terrified but I’m sure with their newfound passion for further developing the characters, HOPEFULLY it’ll be great as well.
