The story is alluding to something, whether that be something he's done to Vanessa because of the gloom that appears on her (the same gloom that appears when the old guy is touching her), or something he is hiding/planning in regards to Vanessa. Anyways Theodore is hot! The lady towards the end of chapter 12 confuses me I don't get why she gives him that look??
