so, thalia gets disfigured during a royal pilgrimage and she gets kidnapped by a wyvern. the wyvern picks her up and she is later found, crushed under some boulders struggling to breathe. this incident causes her to have to stay in her carriage all day and night long- relying on incense that dulls her senses because they have to get back to the empire so she can get treated. her legs have become swollen, scarred and horribly disfigured. the crown prince sneers at her with every given moment and she has lost her confidence completely shutting herself inside her room- only coming out when summoned :(
I heard varkas saved Alya and left Thalia getting crushed , why is that?
I mean the poor girl always suffer and the prince hurt her even more, that’s so sad.
The whole story is her suffering and he’s not even giving her the bare love minimum
yeaah, exactly! i think he saved Alya because he made a promise to her mom (the late Empress) to protect her. Betrothal = duty. he doesn't see Thalia as his responsibility. he led the search for Thalia after the attack because that was just his job as a vassal. but in the actual moment of the attack he chose Alya </3
