Let it be known, i am not Jaekyung's biggest fan. I don't hate him, but he's definitely not my favourite character, that said, I feel his writing was really well done in the entire story. It would have been nice to see him have no Jinx at the end, but the ritual he has is a big change from the previous one and it very healthy and wholesome. I would have liked some of the interactions between him and the team a bit more. Kim Dan, my favourite character. Baby I love you down, but your writing needs a whole lot of work. It definitely feels like we didn't see a lot of Dan in the story, he had an okay one the first season but was delegated to background this season and he didn't really grow as much. I would have LOVED to see more of Kim Dan as Kim Dan, the story made him to be someone who rather forms really unhealthy bonds with people. Unhealthy in the sense that he clings to them and devotes too much of himself to them because he is afraid of being alone. The second season for some reason, tries to lessen the harm Jaekyung puts on Dan, by making it seem like it wasn't that bad, when it was. Dan himself doesn't feel like he had a lot of time on the drawing board like Jaekyung. The debt he has comes from nowhere, his story as a medic is non existent at best, the story of how he and the grandma ended up like that is not even mentioned, he's an alcoholic and smoker but you wouldn't have known unless Mingwa mentions specifically, nothing indicates this in the entire story, he also had a severe depressive arc in the past, nothing on that too. The doctor really doesn't add anything but shock value, the shit with Heesung doesn't go anywhere. The friendship with Potato is also forgotten about. All in all, it doesn't feel like he has changed or grown since s1 which is disappointing The story itself is not bad, it follows the structure, there's nothing that really stands out in the story or characters themselves. It's just fine and that's okay. Hope you all at least enjoyed it, i did
