l think author just can't write woman correct decently well bls are notorious for not writing side character that are absolutely not smitten with our mls or mcs correctly. They either absolutely hate ml/mc or absolutely love them no inbetween.
I'm aware, but I've learned not to think toooo deeply about these things unless it's an author I know has good pen game. This author has a tendency of using female side character's as plot devices, just like that actress from kiss me liar. The only decent yet scarce female character they've written for me is Joshua's sister Emma
Yaa true what pisses me off is how male characters often go unscatched from any situation as long as they are attractive this author has history of giving redemption to any horrible mls but same is not true for female character. No second chance for female characters. I often feel like this author often subtly shames women for being vain , promiscuous etc but same attributes in ml is somehow attractive. If you read their novels you will realize it.
