Crown prince is not decided since the candidates are Rishar and Etty, but both wants the other to be the emperor. The dad actually loved Rishar's dad one sidedly so he has more affections to Rishar and wants him to succeed the throne, while Etty is the result of rape from the Empress so he dad hates the mom and dislikes Etty. Mom wants Etty to be the emperor and since omegas cannot be the king, mom makes Etty pretend to be a beta by forcing him to take drugs all the damn time
Currently, some monster appears in the mining area where precious stones are mined, which was owned by Etty but he gave that to his maternal uncle to bribe him to support Etty and not his mother. The current arc focus on how they solve this monster problem. That's all till now
Another thing, the marriage between the Emperor and Empress was forced by the omega since her family is the most powerful after royal family and they are too corrupt.
The empress family is too power but also very evil so if Etty become the emperor then the empress will have all the power, which will be the downfall of the kingdom so the emperor doesn't want that to happen. If Rishar or Etty becomes the emperor, either of the one not succeeding is bound to die due to power struggle. So with the permission of the emperor, Rishar and Etty now joined hands to first take down the empress's family to strip them of their power before deciding the crown prince
