you can easily tell whose brains were rotted by manhwa in this comments section, it's funny. this series is easily better than 90% of the slop that gets posted here simply by having likeable characters and nice art

ten years ago we'd only get a handful of updates per day but i would feel like checking out almost every one. nowadays i can scroll past an entire page without clicking on a single title lol. the enshittification and extreme commodification of everything is depressing, especially knowing how overworked and mistreated the artists pumping out all that manhwa slop are, it's like yaoi sweatshops. having a BL series that updated weekly like it's a fucking WSJ title was unthinkable back then.

TRUTHNUKE... i felt this too. I think some part of it does account that when I was younger I would read anything and everything. But nowadays, even in a sea of updates, I'm only reading maybe 10-20% of the titles that are updating weekly. I find myself actually rereading older manga titles rather than seeking out new manhwa/manhua. manga too im filtering through more than half of the slop thats coming out.

You spoke my exact thoughts ,,, like just cuz the plot may not have an many dramatic turns doesn’t mean it isn’t good

true, back then many overdone tropes felt fresh simply by virtue of being released earlier to a fresher set of eyes. still you'd be hard-pressed to find something on par with like ai no kusabi for example, despite the wealth of toxic blond semes and their feisty dark-haired ukes we're swimming in. i've been reading a lot of older stuff too lately, shit like a thousand and one nights and totally captivated. yeah, they're not as great as my 15yo self perceived, but they've still got this certain charm. who the fuck knows, maybe we're just old and this is the nostalgia speaking.

also the translators posted about this being released in a quarterly magazine... so the next chapter won't be out any time soon. hell BWAT will probably return from hiatus before the next chapter is out
