I think i really like this development tho. Idk about the community you're raised in, sometimes some people needed closure. And obviously in this chapter Hyesung showed that he doesn't hate his mom the way yall are hating his mom cause SHE IS NOT YOUR MOM, hyesung is feeling complicated bc she wanted to start over again and maybe atone herself however late she was, and hyesung unable to accept or forgive her, it is also valid.
At first I disagree with Byul thinking where he doesn't understand why Hyesung refused to meet his mom, and also Dojin meeting the mom behind Hyesung back. Clearly Hyesung want nothing to do with her but he was glad that Dojin helped his mom, taking care of her despite hyesung not being able to do it himself.
I think Hyesung aren't able to forgive her doesn't correlate to completely HATING her to the point of wanting her to live a shit life.
Sometimes, we just can't be cruel enough to completely abandon our parents.
