It's the most pointless, underwhelming love story I've ever read. The male lead is aggravating as hell, female lead is inconsistent and barely has any redeeming moments that restore the power she originally has with her position, and the male lead is perfect to the point that he is always one step ahead of her, taking away all the tension and intrigue that could have been explored well in this story instead of making it fall flat. He tend to make derogatory sexual remarks about her body too in the novel when she was still sleeping with him. Not only that, the power in the story is handed to her by the male lead. Diminishing all***** the satisfaction we readers could have gotten with female lead making actual efforts to regain***** back the authority she lost.
Making her sleep with the male lead as sexual favour also is such a bad, bad***** idea because it takes away her agency as a heroine.
Giving access to the most intimate part of your body is a huge deal, and the male lead doing little to no efforts to atone for all the times he ever treated her like a prostitute makes it so much more worse...
Why would I root for the characters ending together when they did nothing to deviate from the cliche???
