Lowk i dont understand why she needs to be so against him. In that day and age, this is unfortunately the best option she has. She will be loved, shelter, provided for by a man she is attracted to, who would do anythibg for her except divorce . Even if she runs away, how will she survive? She has no skills and no idea how dangerous society was back then for women. (It still is). Idk maybe am just not getting it, but as someone who has seen how harsh modern society is on women, i cant imagine how worse it is during that time
