i know right? i do get some people interpreting the teacher and hirose have something going on (Emphasizing that we see it how nakamura(the narrator) sees them) but to call this queerbait?? how did we get there? should he fall for every man to show that he's gay? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ and yeah the author is weird
I just think it's a little hypocritical how u said do ur own research but I did cause I really didn't wanna buy into any misunderstandings, but the grossness of the author is undeniable and shouldn't be defended TT before the back lash, the author (who is known for drawing shota *yuck*) drew literal "what if" official arts of the teacher and hirose. They took it down after complaints of p8do, but u can't deny that's just the author being a little "weird". I just can't read this knowing the authors og intentions but ig we're all free to interoperate this however we want to protect our own peace lol.
exactly. you’ve said it yourself. the grossness of the author is undeniable and shouldn’t be defended so do just that.
where exactly in my post have i defended the author? if you read thoroughly you’d see how i’ve said multiple times to call out the author for their wrongdoings.
you did your research and that’s good. but just by looking at those things you’ve searched are not enough, you need to comprehend each and every one of them.
the author had also done some what if arts with nakamura and hirose ending up together as adults? so where does that leave us now? the author is mighty weird for drawing hirose and the teacher in a suggestive manner and that is indeed questionable but as you’ve said, it’s a what if art, it’s not what’s supposed to be canon or what’s supposed to be intended by the author.
by using that logic of yours just because the author drew them together, would it make hirose a cheater because the author also drew him and nakamura?
i mean do i really have to point out everything here?
the author did some questionable behaviors so CALL THEM OUT FOR IT. don’t change the narrative and come up to your own conclusions.
if the author said hirose and the teacher is not the endgame then they’re just simply not the endgame.
hirose has made a lot of efforts into befriending nakamura, remember, they’re only 15. he’s not as open as nakamura with his sexuality. he may not be even aware of his own feelings towards nakamura and that’s okay.
the author has shown multiple times with the canon manga and through sketches that hirose might be into nakamura too, sketches similar to those “what ifs” but instead with the canon verse but the mcs are aged up. hirose is pretty smitten with nakamura in those and if you actually absorbed all of the information you researched, you’d know nakamura and hirose will be canon and it’s not up for interpretation because the author had already said it multiple times.
it’s annoying how i have to point this out because it just proved my point in my og comment that we need to invest and focus more on media literacy classes.
by misinformation i mean = the author intended for hirose and the teacher to be the endgame.
which is completely false and the author had already said multiple times they’re not an item and will never be. which is a little contradicting with the author drawing what if arts of them together but COMPREHEND. “what if arts” it’s an alternate universe away from the canon. and the author is fucking disgusting for creating something like that.
but those what if arts does not confirm anything from the teacher and hirose being canon. because for the nth time, hirose has made efforts into befriending nakamura, remember, they’re only 15. he’s not as open as nakamura with his sexuality. he may not be even aware of his own feelings towards nakamura and that’s okay.
hirose and nakamura were bound to end up together from the start and that’s how things were supposed to be. if this story is your not cup of tea because of the weird author then go on, leave or call out the author. but to deny hirose and nakamura’s progress despite already being established from the start is tiring. make hobby a reading i beg.
Yes!!! I was genuinely heartbroken when i found out syundei was a weirdo because i really loved their art style and go for it nakamura :((
I read it thinking it was going to be a light hearted story but i ended up relating to nakamura a lot, it surprisingly tackled some heavy things in a perfectly light hearted manner.
It sucks because i loved their works but they deserved to be called out, i’m glad it brought attention to the people and the author was rightfully called out but i don’t really appreciate how people started spreading false information about the series.
It undermines nakamura and hirose’s progress and it’s clear that people never really cared about the story and just wanted to shit on the author without even knowing the full context.
Syundei deserved to be called out for their other works that explicitly shows little boys in a suggestive manner and that was hardly seen in go for it nakamura, although there are some questionable scenes, it doesn’t warrant anything that suggests the teacher and hirose being intended to be endgame.
I don’t how and where did people pick that information up from? Because up until to the recent chapters of the manga which has been released years ago it doesn’t suggest anything with those two ending up together. I thought it was pretty obvious hirose was questioning about his orientation and was fairly interested in nakamura with how much he’s making efforts to be close with him. So i really never understood the teacher and hirose ending up together thing because i never saw the chemistry between those two despite it being exaggerated in nakamura’s POV.

genuinely vexing how half of these comments are “i’ve never read/watched this or planning to watch/read this but it’s problematic because i believe the shit i see on the internet instead of doing my own research and finding out the actual plot myself”.
the author IS weird and that is something that we can’t deny, you can call them out but twisting the narrative into something that suits your own viewpoint and creating misinformation is genuinely so fucking stupid. syundei has confirmed already that what hirose and the teacher had was simply admiration and it’s not something you could even call one sided since hirose never once saw the teacher in that light.
hirose has said multiple times maybe he’d be a teacher when he grows up because he found the teacher cool and admirable for his job, he wanted to be JUST LIKE HIM.
this whole discourse about go for it, nakamura shows that we desperately need to focus on media literacy. because the fact that casual readers can’t read between the lines and needs to be spoonfed information is so embarrassing to think about.
hirose would blush and giggle while following nakamura around and people would still deny his feelings for nakamura and would only come into terms to that when has to explicitly say it himself. the fact that you have to point out that everything in this story is in nakamura’s pov and we’ve never really seen hirose’s pov is genuinely stupid and embarassing.
to call this series a queerbait just means you’re reading from your ass and is clearly not smart enough to absorb information. nakamura is a naive and a socially awkward kid, he’s not the brightest and his imagination goes haywire hence why some of the things portrayed are exaggerated because it’s in his perspective.
call out the author for their wrongdoings, not by creating misinformation around them and creating false narratives because you’re not any different from the person you’re calling out. you’re just as bad.
