That's exactly the point. Hyesung still has trauma and even after the meeting he is the only one who is still crying and feeling guilty, while the mother is smiling and acting all happy and loving.
Neither the mother nor Dojin or Byul even stopped for one second to ask Hyesung why he is still feeling like that and trying to understand his perspective. No. What was done instead was saying "I'm sorry" like it would fix what she broke. She AGAIN, didn’t explain anything and instead took money and house and betrayed Hyesung again by meeting Byul behind his back.
She could've used this meeting to finally, like a actual mother and adult, explain why she abandoned him etc. But no, she goes and makes food and that's it.
No heart to hear, not even a single panel of Hyesung expessing his feelings and how much she hurt him.
Instead his own husband and son STILL KEEP SAYING he needs more time to forgive her DESPITE him stating AGAIN that he doesn't want to see her anymore.
What this chapter did was:
1. give the mother, who is the one at fault, a feeling of closure and maternal love by having met her son, whom SHE ABANDONED.
2. Show she has been chilling her ass off whith the money of the husband of the son, whom SHE ABANDONED.
3. Show how perfect her relationship with Byul is, while STILL ignoring the questions of the son, whom SHE ABANDONED.
She didn't answer Hyesung question of WHY she abandoned him, she didn't took initiative and tried talking privately with Hyesung and neither Byul nor Dojin still accept the fact that Hyesung doesn't want anything to do with her.
During the ride back, Hyesung STILL doesn't know WHY she abandoned him, his still hurt and instead of saying his feelings are okay and hes allowed to not meet again, they both think he still needs more time.
No, he doesn’t.
So yes, his feelings where ALL swept under the rug AGAIN.
If this was supposed to be about Hyesung and his mother, it should have been multiple panel about them talking what happened out, but they didn't.
Nothing was explained and at the end of the Chapter Hyesung was the only one who still cryed and felt guilty and got ignored.

I don’t see where everyone thinks the author is sweeping everything under the rug. He literally still loves his mother so it probably felt good to see her after so long. The fact that even after all the he still questions why she abandoned him he didnt just forgive her. He still doesnt even want to see her after all that. He still hasnt forgiven or forgotten .
