I would say Grayson in his story is quite a green flag, he never forced himself - he doesn't give space to Dane and be trying to hug him or stay beside him just suffocating Dane lol but he never used physical force of Dane ever that's one thing you can be sure of and Grayson has no emotions so for that Dane makes Grayson feels them and helps Grayson identify and understand those emotions which helps Grayson to start seeing stuff in a different way, he feels fear, happiness, joy and a lot of other emotions slowly. Grayson has a mentality of helper but his help is very he thinks he is actually a good person trying to help turns out that the help harmed the other person more than helping like you can understand in the story in future there will be a child trapped in a basement and Grayson finds out that child instead of releasing the child Grayson goes inside the basement and stays with the child saying I will be with you and you will not be lonely, he doesn't have that knowledge on what type of help he should provide cause Grayson has no personality he just mimics Ashley his father, Grayson thinks he is helping the child because then the father who has trapped the child will not give punishment to the child and Dane saves the child from basement but Grayson stays in the basement saying I will wait for the father of the child and I will take the punishment for the child because the child left the basement as u can see what type of help he does and in Chase case it's the same thing he done. This also comes from the severe punishments that Ashley gave to Grayson in the name of discipline. So because of his numbness to emotions and lack of empathy it leads to harm but Dane fixed then slowly and helps Grayson which is the main plot of the story than romance.
For me he automatically redeemed himself im first 30 chapters of the novel. Without any redemption arc. I wanted to see dane's redemption
what do you mean Dane's redemption? does he need one? did he do something?
Dane never treated him well even though Grayson never did anything yo him. Well some readers are ok with Dane behaviour towards Grayson cs they wanted to see Grayson getting punched and treated like rags as a revenge of wht he did to a third person. But from wht I saw (talking abt this particular novel), Grayson never did anything to Dane or the firefighters, he was just minding his own business, it was others who had already formed an opinion based on the fire incident (which also wasn't Grayson's fault). To me Dane anger seemed a bit too much. For ex, there was a scene when he was genuinely asking to Dane why he sleep around so much, could it be that he is an Omega. When he listend the word omega he just smacked his head with a vine bottle, while he had no issue in revealing his identity as an omega to any random person(and he always says that he doesn't hide it on purpose). And cs of that he even planned his kidnapping with josh to beat him up. Grayson was nothing but patience to him. And Dane literally took 190+ chapters to realise his feelings.(He wasn't ready to give or recieve love cs of his own childhood trauma). It was Dane who always jump on Grayson whenever he feels like . Grayson never forced even a kiss on him.
Ps: I do like Dane a lot. And he is the only one for Grayson and honestly these were the things tht made the story more interesting m not complaining on that. I just wanted to see more of his POVs.
Lmao I absolutely loved the journey they had together, I felt bad for Grayson most of the time but I wouldn't say I would want Dane to redempt but I did want the story to be longer where Dane regrets not accepting Grayson's feelings, I still loved how the author worked on it though.

Oh wow.. so it's basically another case of shitty parenting resulting in a messed up kid. Thing is, i wouldve loved to read the novel but I'm.. kinda bad with texts. I cajt read stuff or enjoy it unless I habe some sort of visuals. I get confused with named and places and space lol.. but I'll try one day
I haven't read the novel so idk, but I come from kiss me if yoy can, amd grayson is like Satan incarnate there. So I have no clue how he could be redeemed here, but so far, I LIKE THE STORY but I still can't like him fully lol.. can someone just spoil me amd give me reasons so I can like him more?
