Well you might want to look up what motar and pestle is first before you understand what I'm going to say.
So in my country and from my other African friends in different country, it pretty "almost" common to be whipped using the pestle by your mom, especially if you make a mistake, so I was just saying that me reading that sentence gave me some memory flashbacks, so I was just asking to know if it someone that get the reference.
