I feel like it's both, for Cheol's parents to disown him and to isolate Cheol so he will depend on him and be alone with him. Also feels like Minyoung thought Cheol love him enough and is confident that whatever shit he do, Cheol will forgive him
i honestly believe the reason he told his cheol’s dad that he was gay was so his parents would disown him and he wouldn’t have to worry about being abused anymore/not as scared to be seen as gay. thatttt or it was to isolate him. either way i think the goal was for the parents to be out of his life. otherwise i have no idea why he would do that, but if i think about it like this it’s kind of romantic…in a way…. the real question tho is why did he think he could do that and not get cut off? maybe the answer is just delusion, or autism idk.
