The Second prince wasn't likable, but he wasn't a character without no reasons. You could say that he was an adult, but his parents were toxic to him and that why he grew up broken, there's few people who would grow normal in such circumstances. I could have hated him if he was simply greedy and cruel, but showing what he actually wanted was to stay with his adopted father at the beginning was kinda sad. After expecting something from his "real" family who his mother said would love him, but instead avoided him and rejected his existence, then his mother committed suicide wanting to kill him too. Was he supposed to grow to be a fun-peace loving guy?
The King tried to be a father? No matter what the circumstances, he shouldn't have dragged the kid who was living just fine and make him a prince just because of guilt. The king was a Half-hearted hypocrite, meanwhile, His mother was twisted madwoman who doesn't get that someone is already married.
