Honestly, when I saw that he had run after him to ask for forgiveness and to take him into his life, I was happy, but I would have imagined something different, like Dan crying because he can't believe it but, at the same time, he needs his time to understand if it's really worth being with him. Five or six more chapters wouldn't have hurt. The fact that his grandmother dies when she knows he's finally happy and understood is the only part that I find really aligns with her character, but as I said, it was too early.
