Yeah... honestly it's not having female characters that bother me, is how every one of them is portrayed as a "possible love interest" instead of becoming mc's friend. Is like how despite there being a couple characters his age and good looking (which tbf is alreade rare) they are all kinda in a subordinate position towards mc... and it's like that in most action comics. Mc has no friends of equal status/power... they are either subordinates, elders to help/teach him or antagonists going for his "women".
Exactly, these female characters are starting out so good, you're telling a literal mage, princess of an empire etc would stoop so low as to share the same man? Let's be serious , and the other male characters all they do is glaze the mc, I don't mind much but I wish we could see more into their characters other than being MC's subordinates
Oh yeah... and I hate how they use polygamy to try to justify it like... No... I know it's fantasy but westerners are monogamic and "mistresses and bastards" were viewed as shameful and had no claim rights... so why tf are you trying to push harem and concubinage into it? Even if you bring some eastern concepts like martial arts into it... it's still fricking weird when the holy country seems very based on Catholicism right?
And yes, they're wasting so much potential by using them as props to make him seem better and stronger... its sad... feels like a potentially good story ducked over slopharem...

Another manhwa, you have fun reading until you get suspicious of the number of female characters, next thing you know you've been baited into reading a harem.
There's all these important male characters too, surely they can also be love interests does it always have to be the MC?
