Daewoo is a hypocrite

Daewoo is such a hypocrite in punching the CEO for doing something wrong. The AUTHOR is trying so HARD to give him a redemption arc, but they're failing so badly at writing and executing it IT'S A DAMN FLOP BECAUSE ALL IT SHOWS IS THAT THE VICTIM SHOULD JUST FORGIVE AND FORGET. I have no problem with joon being a forgiving person and he's a demon so there's some leeway there. BUT GOOD GOD THE CHARACTER WRITING AND DEVELOPMENT FOR DAEWOO FEELS SO UTTERLY WRONG he's the ONLY character that messed up the whole series for me. Author, if u really wanted to give him a redemption arc, you really need to know improve your writing

I'm so pressed, I genuinely don't want to see THEIR side stories because it was already messed by that ONE completely unnecessary chapter that was just glossed over, like that. Don't get me wrong, i like reading my fair share of black flags, but the writing—THE WRITING AND EXECUTION OF THE STORY AND HOW THE AFTERMATH IS HANDLED IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOR THOSE TYPES OF THINGS. ughhhh

I so agree. I think Daewoo's actions should not be so easily forgiven and that the dynamics of his relationship with Joon are strange. Their relationship should not be encouraged. As you rightly said, Joon is in a position where he is forced to forgive and forget far too easily and unrealistically. Their relationship is not healthy. I also found Daewoo punching Samseong to be super hypocritical. Samseong is Samseong, but Daewoo protecting Joon's honor from Samseong or whatever makes no sense to me in that scene because the whole sex scene on its own is already super immoral and off because of Daewoo's own choices. The story constantly demands Joon's forgiveness. He is a pretty forgiving and air-headed guy, but this storyline constantly exploits his kind nature and fails to punish Daewoo for his transgressions. It even portrays his infatuation with Joon in a harmless and sweet way. I think that Daewoo should be held responsible and forced to pay with poetic justice.
