True, i think we can all now agree that it's not just a feeling, it was indeed rushed. I even thought the naration on that beach panel is from chargpt, so disconnected from the core of the story. Or mingwa just forgot plot of a second. Still, i hope the side stories can make up for it somehow. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

For me personally, the ending didn’t feel satisfying enough for what the seasons and supposed character development were leading up to.
It felt rushed, as if trying to cram a happy ending for a character that didn’t show enough remorse to properly deserve said ending.
Jaek’s development feels like they’ve yanked our arms up before we were allowed to properly see the progression; they spent so much time building up to his past, showing us the reason as to why he is the way he is, but it was never enough of a justification to forgive him the way the ending did.
There wasn’t enough chase and pull from Jaek that would make us agree with the ending (or at least in my opinion). If I had to end it, I would let Dan go with a timeskip for 3 or so years before letting Jaek try to win him back or at least something similar to it.
Either way; the ending didn’t feel ‘earned’ enough in the perspective of Jaek and that’s probably why people didn’t like the ending.
If there are side stories, I don’t think there would be enough to answer the questions most people are having. The ending is showing clear signs of burnout for the creators, which I totally respect wanting to be done with a project so badly, but it wasn’t a good ending for these characters specifically.
