there's a huge difference between that and pretending you don't know each other or not wanting to be in the same room which is what garams been doing. That's just not a thing you will do to a partner you love and cherish regarless of the "boundaries" you want to set and ofc Jaehyuk would feel bad about it, he's not a stranger that's his boyfriend, even I felt a little off by that. I get the mc fear but it comes to a point it's just not excusable. "Media literacy is dead" when I'm just saying that a relationship that makes you feel so insecure is not something you have to suck it up on the pretense of respecting boundaries
Can you point out a chapter where garam wants to act like they don’t know each other? Not a chapter where Jaehyuk wants to hold his hand, kiss him or hug him in public? I literally don’t remember. Ofc he is constantly in fear due to all his traumas, even Jaehyuk was homophobic before they were dating! Just seeing him with his friend from the cafe was enough for Jaehyuk to blame Garam of dating the dude, so why wouldn’t garam be scared rhat others will think the same about him and Jaehyuk? Jaehyuk should NOT be set off about garam’s boundaries when he himself showed Garam he would not be loved and would be bullied if people found out about his sexuality. The reason why Garam is sometimes cold and lwk annoying is because he can never trust Jaehyuk 100% and because he is scared that he is gonna affect Jaehyuk’s life. Ofc Garam did wrong things in their relationship too, but this specific problem is Jaehyuk’s fault. He literally asked garam to either come out or break up. Have you ever been gay or trans in a conservative (?) country? Mind you they live in Korea. Garam couldn’t have just said ”yk what? I love you so much that I’m gonna ruin my and your entire lives. I’m gonna ruin our relationships with all our family, friends and make us getting jobs impossible. Jaehyuk was selfish to think Garam could make such a choice.
