So basically he was a reader of the Dark Exploration Records (DER) which was a public wiki kinda like creepypastas! People would make their own Darkness and have their characters explore said darkness, Some Characters grew popular due to a multitude of reasons while others died. As for his "calmness", he just has an incredible poker face! Internally he's always freaking out (￣∇￣")

You'll find out as you read but its based on a horror wiki community like SCP where people can write their own horror story articles. There are famous employees who may appear in the wiki stories as well as famous monsters and such. You'll meet a few as the story progresses but most characters are unnamed ones who didn't show in the wiki. Also he is not calm at all LOL, he's just prioritizing the current situation

yep ! and he was dropped into a pre-existing universe, so, many of the people he interacts with, such as his supervisors, teammates, etc are established characters with pre-determined roles, personalities, and backbones from the franchise lore.

some of the characters he knows are famous in the DER community of his world, you can say that people make their own ghost story and some people will write stories on how to clear them, and these 'attempts' are gonna be his anchor on how to clear them, so its not basically a 1:1 help but he had to interpret the record too. so every now and then we will get glimpse of the DER record of the ghost story and thats what is the world he got transported in based on
