I fear you're referring to the lack of details on the eyes recently (• ▽ •;), cuz I just noticed and typically there's this tired yet bitchy look in his eyes early chapters and it slowly got boiled down to serious professor that's professional (｡•︿•｡)
As in, earlier Deculein had a look that catched your eyes and never let it stray away
Aka, he lost what seemed to be the smoky eyes AND bottom lashes
The MC was so damn good looking at first but I feel like after some point he started looking worse and worse and the story is also getting less interesting. Is it just me?
