i mean atp death is the only mercy one can give to him. imagine trying to fight back multiple times but that gets you beaten, raped, and tortured tenfold; escaping only brings anxiety, and reporting brings uncertainty. there’s no harm in wanting for him to not give up, but his psyche is almost completely broken—he’s a poor man trying to fight against three wealthy people who never knew what it feels to struggle making ends meet. and worse, the people who cared for him won’t even protect him, bcs protecting their family (the sister) is non-negotiable.
in his mind, he’s never escaped that villa, and he’ll never be able to escape that bathroom that thoroughly guarded by what he considered his best friends. in this case, death would have been a permanent solution to this permanent problem. there is no negotiating or fixing the rapists, they got a taste of him and they only want more until he’s got nothing left to give.
