That makes so little sense, personally.
Basically, what you want is a story that resolves entirely as soon as an identity is figured out? Because that's what you just said. That sounds hella boring. Half of the set ups that have been done in this story minimum, wouldn't have been possible then, losing a lot of general plot and world building. Especially since delaying the identity reveal can get very obnoxious since at some point you gotta use characters being more stupid than normal, convoluted miscommunication and other extra boring/annoying tropes to even continue having chapters then.
I'm sorry but the way you want a story to work/function sounds like majority of bad fantasy/romance plots, I'm glad that not all stories are like that.
