Jaekyung has one helluva redemption story, and understanding his background helped humanize him, but I understand why people would still be polarized over their happy ending.
Having said that, I am so glad he was there at the end for Dan's grandma. He gave her the peace of mind that her grandson wouldn't be all alone in the world, allowing her to pass with a smile. From her perspective, Jaekyung had always been varying levels of good, so I'm glad she had that and that Dan had the support through his grief.
