I'm sorry but no, I get what you're getting at but let me remind you that the ML started this whole thing as a experiment. He wanted to see if people can fall without the whole name thing. He wasn't gonna date him if the MC did fall for him in the first place.
So I think it's justify how MC is reacting. He came into MC's life out of nowhere. String him on to make him fall for him. But then his plan backfired when he was the one that fell for the MC. And now he's pissed because of the rejection.
Mc shouldn't have done that knowing about the ML's feelings but nevertheless, ML still said that they should quit being friends so the attitude is uncalled for, realistic but still uncalled for, I'm pissed because I understand both of them
