No, the egg bearing thing was because he needed to leave an heir behind before he died. All the previous dragons, like he was, died young because of that curse that the god put on all the powerful spirits, like the dragons. He was lucky to find his dragon’s wrath thingy because he fell in love with the mc. The curse on his clan is now broke too so no one else will have to worry about a short life. Now, the mc has a curse on him because of that gumiho’s son. It’s trying to get back at the dragon, through the mc, for k*lling his father. Even though his father deserved it.

This honestly is well written.
Baekryeon isn't written as a sympathetic character, he is meant to hated, he is meant to be seen as the scum of the earth and it is properly conveyed but he is trying to be redeemable. Past Ha-on on the other hand is a sad child who only wished to be loved. His backstory is tragic; parents getting killed by a tiger and his neighbors were also killed, making his village believe he is a curse upon the village, which isn't true because he later in ch 2 finds out it was all orchestrated by a Gumiho which led him to unfortunately meeting an asshole of a dragon.
Given the opportunity he believed if he mated with Baekryeon, he will be loved but sadly he realizes quickly that is unfortunately not true and he tries to leave. He isn't a doormat but just an unfortunate soul. As seen in chapter 1, dragons could have someone they love and cherished but Ho-on was unlucky to meet Baekryeon, who treated him like a breeding vessel so he could bare his egg to become a true dragon.
Not going to lie, the treatment of Ha-on makes me wish he never forgives Baekryeon, but as we know the story goes, he will forgive that dragon (I'm using dragon as derogatorily as I can).
I love the fact that Ha-on quickly realizes that Baekryeon is never going to love him (in chapter 6, which is much faster than other manhwa *cough cough Jinx cough*) so he doesn't try to make the dragon fall in love with him but actually tries to get away from him. Annoyingly enough, he is very forgiving. But he knew that he would never be happy and we can see in the present Ha-on, albeit devoid of emotions, he still believes the dragon will never truly love him despite being told otherwise.
I also don't like the racoon, sure his attitude changes but he still acts high and mighty against Ha-on and doesn't provide any comfort despite everything happening, even in the present.
Speaking of present Ha-on, I do love him telling the dragon that his treatment of past Ha-on isn't his to get angry or upset over, essentially saying, if you want wrath or forgiveness ask the Ha-on who you raped and tortured. Good Job present Ha-on.
It does break my heart that reading past Ha-on's torture and his realization he was never meant to be loved. That vow truly saved him but I also hate what's coming next. I will take at least 20-ish chapters of that dragon begging and bawling in from of Ha-on for forgiveness.
All in all, I love this and can't wait for more updates.
