Comments on this always pissing me off like damn I'm sorry a gay man in s. korea has trauma from homophobia and his main lead was pretty damn homophobic to him even when they started fucking as the hook of the series. Even ignoring actual climate around queer people in s. korea, within the world of the story, this all literally started blowing up when Jaehyuk's mother was, say it with me, homophobic upon finding out about them at the start of the season(almost eerily similar but with less violence to Garam's previous experience, and actually where I think the Ulcer started development). I wonder why the gay man does not want to come out with his boyfriend that was extremely homophobic within the last year and didn't react perfectly rationally to Jaehyuk (also!! do not forget who got rings first and why those rings were not given(moms homophobia)) getting couple rings and wanting to come out to his (who were homophobic with him) friends.

Tbh the things that piss me off is that:
    - Garam didn't sit Jaehyuk down to explain how being out in their country truly feels. Jaehyuk just found out he can like a man and grew up super spoiled and entitled, he has no idea. Then he just... leaves?
    - Jaehyuk lost patience way too soon.

Like, I'm gay, from a homophobic country, I understand, but couldn't these two just sit down and talk? What kind of partner just leaves their shared apartment without talking it first unless you feel in true danger, that's a horrible thing to do no matter the trauma.
Jaehyuk WAS horrible in S1 though, no doubt.

Yeah I fully agree. Garam didn't handle it well at all, but thats exactly what I mean when he wasn't perfectly rational. Garam, after a potentially retraumatizing at worst, triggering at best, interaction with Jaehyuk's mother (where Jaehyuk *wasn't* present and what she said hurt *my* feelings), basically ran when he got reminded of it (the couple rings). I fully understand this response especially with how Jaehyuk responded(losing his patience), no matter who you(general) feel is handling it right or wrong within their relationship.

Just really irks me seeing so many people up Garam's ass and flinging mud at him for possibly the most understandable flight response to his trauma when Jaehyuk himself correctly identified that he was putting pressure on Garam in an unhealthy way. Their communication is god awful but it always has been!!! Garam found out that Jaehyuk lied about their living situation during the meeting with his parents! Jaehyuk had a full court case with Garam's Ex without Garam's knowledge! This is a pattern over the series and I love the writing but god I can't stand the uncharitability in this comments.
