You can't really blame the MC.
The ML is literally doing all of this on his own. In real life, we wouldn't know. But here, we're third party omniscient readers.
But also I find it odd that everyone is conveniently forgetting that this whole time he’s been known as the kid who is poor as fuck, wearing the same clothes and can’t go to any school events because he has to work constantly (even having loan sharks and his dad show up to hound him at school for money) but just because he has ONE recent semester of reprieve he’s suddenly Mr. moneybags who steals opportunities from others? How the fuck does that track? I would literally be thinking “oh, he must have gotten the scholarship benefits in advance and they are only now publicizing it” because dude has been so down and out and has great grades, why would he not be within merit of the scholarship? And to be clear, they clearly made the scholarship JUST FOR HIM so it’s not like he cheated anyone out of it, no one else would get it if he didn’t lol.
the point of the original commenter wasn't about blaming yeomin in the story, it's about the fact that if this happened irl (where people saw someone who was barely at college, broke and suddenly in a semester showing up in designer clothes, having a chaeffeur and overall being well off and suddenly getting a scholarship) they would also assume its because of his connections and they would also blame the mc.
you're forgetting that the other characters don't know ANYTHING about yeomin's situation and if this happened irl, no one would either and they would immediately assume that the mc is using his connections to get a scholarship without any hard work.
of course in this story yeomin isn't to blame at all cause he doesn't even know about the paid scholarship and he's going to get upset at ml for it, but you can't entirely blame the side characters for getting upset. my point is that the comment your responding to isn't blaming yeomin at all, it's saying that the other characters are valid for being upset and made the same logical conclusion as anyone would.
No one can blame the mc simply because it isn't his fault. He isnt even aware that taeseo is extremely rich and has connections. If you want to blame someone blame taeseo danggg but back off yeomin (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Not really, because everyone knows yeomin is an scholarship student already and top of his class, it has been mentioned multiple times. No one irl would logically suspect that its because of connections, only haters would do that so yes people are right to be angry at the nosy mfs around
I know it's fiction, but if similar thing happened in real life people would be cursing the mc.
One's connections shouldn't be a way to get opportunities. Mc is capable so why should he rely on others to get him stuff. I understand that the new character is just some fucker but he has a reason to be angry about this situation. (He is most likely just jealous of him. Writers aren't creative )
You guys are trying to justify by saying mc is hardworking and would have anyway gotten the scholarship but it isn't fair.
