Can someone explain grayson to me?

i think it has to do with how he truly doesn’t understand emotions so when he’s mean that’s his idea of what protection is

To understand this u really need to understand how Grayson's mind work. It's really hard to explain without examples but if you will continue this story there will be multiple times when u will notice how he make decisions (I hope they show that in manhwa).

Grayson has no judgement capability, no understanding of right and wrong, no understanding of emotions, he don't even have any words of his own. Think of him a a robo who only works on what data you give him. Since he was a child he has been going through lots of therapies and treatment. Not a single doctor has been left who hasn't treated Grayson but he couldn't be cured. So his father came up with an idea to make him copy everything so that he would at least be able to function as a member of society and have conversations with others. He hired trainers who train actors to train Grayson. Evrything from his expressions to his statements are mostly taken from wht he has seen movies or irl in a similar situation. He doesn't realise his own abuse when he was a child. He was told tht these are punishment to correct you. So he endured evrything thinking it is the ryt thing. He was choked when he was 10 and he didn't even realised that too.

There comes the problem because he would take every thing as he has been told. His father was the one who always told him that they would rape their brother or omega father as Dom Alphas are all monsters. They won't see who is in front. He even sent Bliss away from all his brothers for this reason and was constantly trying to separate Koi from them as well. Chase also wanted Koi to cuddle him but Ashley never allowed that. So since he has always been told that he was saying the same thing to Chase. Since he has always been told that he would rape other if he won't extract Pheromones through sex, he applied that to chase as well. He was always told that Pheromones extraction is just a process and it has nothing to with sex so he applied that to chase as well because he didn't want to chase to rape others as well. So he tried everything to make chsw to sleep with omegas and at last he thought that of he would scare chase about dogs he would start having normal sex to extract pheromones because wht chase was doing was actually suicidal to him.

It also showed that he just needed right guidance as he wasn't cured at the end. Earlier he used to act on wht he has learnt so far, later he acted on wht Dane would do in the similar situation. Dane also helped him understanding few things and emotions. He would always correct him that like this not a situation to smile, or u don't say thankyou here but ask how r u.. things like that.

Beside all this he would never do the things Ashley has told him no to do specially any criminal activities. Since us unintentionally hurt Chase and others a lots of times, got severe punishment for that but still it wasn't effective sc of his nature of helping others so Ash taught him the method of self defence ,that you can't hit/kill anyone unless they hit you first. So didn't hit anybody first after that.

To add to the comment above I do think Ashleys methods were incorrect but considering how Ashley himself grew up with Dominics and Ashley Juliettes relationship it makes sense.

Yes everything stems down from Ashley’s trauma he got from Dominic. Also the choking part only happened once when Greyson tried to kill his own mother by feeding Koi a cake with poison. But after that Ashley never hit Greyson, he only made him stay in a dark secluded room just like how Dominic disciplined Ashley when he granted Juliet’s wish to die.

Ashley may have been like that but let’s consider his position as a father and a husband. Like he said 3 of his children were there and all of them only watched as Koi slowly almost die from what Greyson fed their mother. That’s when Ashley took matter to his own hands. Prior to that he let Koi handle all 6 children and he only spend time with them after work but after the poisoning incident Ashley handled everything. He took all children to the hospital because technically his children are all psychopaths even Chase and Bliss who amongst 6 are the most normal.

Ashley may look like he never care but he is in his own twisted way. Like what he said he only wants two things to his children to not kill and not get killed.

What kind of parent who organizes a centralized security system for all his adult children. Most parents stop caring after their children reach adulthood but not Ashley. Not even Dominic organized a security system for him and yet Ashley did for all his 6 children.

Also added to the fact he entered politics to gain more power and connections all to protect his troublesome children. Nathaniel killed someone and yet he managed to get away with it and still practice law. Larien is in FBI wanted list and they still can’t get her. Chase is always causing trouble, shooting people and beating people up and yet he never once landed in jail.

Ashley could have retired and devoted his time solely to Koi after all he is that possessive and obsessive of Koi and yet he entered the politics all of the safety of his children.
