It’s completely normal that people have empathy for the characters, especially a kid. You don’t have to enjoy watching murder to read a psychological horror, it’s supposed to make you feel something, whether it’s hatred, empathy, etc for the characters. People read story to feel things and it’s not always to make themselves happy and considering the theme of the story it’s a well known fact for most people that there’s gonna be debate. Calling people sensitive because they have an opinion is so edgy, especially for a story like that that is CLEARLY SUPPOSED TO MAKE DEBATE.
