It’s implied that they were humans, not zombies. The kid is familiar with the area, runs through a bridge/path that otherwise wouldn’t be obvious, and all the way into the hall. He tried to return to the camp he belonged to and was probably followed/noticed by Guwon, or Guwon found them himself at some point.
it would be a good plot for their love that all the people guwon killed including teach’s father were already dangerous zombies but i fear that’s not the case and guwon is just fucking crazy
