You need to chill my dude, and not become misogynistic. The mother didn’t even know she was pregnant when she left the dad, and she died basically before MC could remember her. Tf what she supposed to do? Weakly apologize to the dad after almost killing him (which she did so that he wouldn’t be sad when she died bc of the curse, or feel guilty bc she was cursed), run away while pregnant and leave her daughter as a half human/half dragon in a world where young dragons get killed? She got the one person who might look after her (barely, but MC stayed alive).
