I mean yea but hes never had any relations with anyone because of the ghost thing so its more like he didnt know if he could like men. Even while he was like "w-we're both guys!" in his head he still held his hand, made out with him, and allowed him to touch him. He just got nervous when it was time to go all the way and freaked. Tho i agree this really could have benefited from being longer
